THERE IS THREE TIER OF GOVERNMENT CURRENTLY EXISTING IN INDIA :-

1. THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT

The central government looks over the country as a whole.

2. THE STATE GOVERNMENT

The state government looks after people and SETTLE the AFFAIRS of that state only.

3. THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The local govt. consists of PANCHAYATI raj, block and zila parishad. They look after a particular area of village/district.
