Vulcanization enhances the properties of natural rubber like tensile strength, stiffness, elasticity, toughness etc. Sulphur forms cross links between polyisoprene chains which results in improved properties of rubber. For neoprene vulcanizing agent is MgO. For Buna-N vulcanizing agent is sulphur.
