We know that light TRAVELS in a straight line. Also, some objects allow light to pass through them while others do not. Today, we will LEARN about these types of objects in details.

There are three types of objects according to the amount of light that can pass through them. These are:
⏩Transparent Objects
⏩Translucent Objects
⏩Opaque Objects



When you can see through any OBJECT very clearly, then the object can be called a Transparent Object. In other words, when light can pass through any objection WITHOUT any deflection, then the object is transparent.

For example - Water, Glass, etc.



Translucent Objects are the ones through which light can pass but with a few deflections / deviations. In other words, you can partially see through these objects.

For example - COLOURED Glass, Oil, Butter Paper, etc.



The objects which don't allow any light to pass through them are termed as Opaque Objects. In other words, you can't see through these objects at all.

For example - Wood, Metals, Thick Papers, etc.
