The methods that purify the water are as follows ⇒

• Filtration → Filtration of water is a PHYSICAL method in which the impurities present in the water is removed. Candle type filter is one of the popularly known household FILTERS. A reversed osmosis system is present in these types of filters that help to make the water pure.

• Boiling → This is a very commonly used method for making the water pure. Boiling helps to kill the harmful microbes and germs present in the water.

• Chlorination → This is a chemical process for purifying the water. Water is purified by adding chlorine tablets or bleaching POWDER in the water. While using this process for purification of water, we must be cautious and not use more chlorine tablets than required.
