Explain :-what would be the local time at 88°30't whenit is 6:00 am at GMT? |
|
Answer» Answer: every 1° is equal to 4 minutes. If it is on west of greenwich median than SUBSTRACT the calculated time from actual time of GMT and if it is on east than add. 74°W = 74×4 = 296 minutes i.e 4 hours 56 minutes. time on greewich is 12:00 . so, time on 69°E is 12 - 4 hr 56 min = 7:04 similarly in CASE of 105°E we have to add the time i.e 105 ×4min = 420 min i.e 7 hours 12 +7 hrs = 19:00 and for 120°W again 120×4 min = 480 min i.e 8 hours 12- 8 hours = 04:00 P.S Time I have followed is military time i.e 24 hours clock. East or west of longitudes MEASURES from 0° i.e greenwich median line. Hope this was helpful. Explanation: |
