Explain why?A spinning cricket ball in air does not follow a parabolic trajectory. |
|
Answer» The spinning cricket ball displaces air. As a result, the speed of air becomes different at upper and lower portions of the ball. Thus, a pressure difference is created due to which the trajectory of cricket ball does not remain parabolic. The parabolic trajectory remains operative only when gravitational forces acts on the ball. |
