Answer» No one was interested in talking about the Hilsa-fish because the weird getup of Gopal had diverted everybody’s attention from the Hilsa-fish. Gopal was wearing rags, his face was half-shaven and ash was smeared over his body. People were more interested in his appearance than in the fish.
