Find the area of a triangle with two sides of which are 18 cm, and 10 cm and the perimeter is 42 cm.OR

Answer»

Given,Perimeter of triangle P = 42 cm

Let third side of triangle be x

Then,x + 18 + 10 = 42x = 42 - 28 = 14

Using HERON'S Formulas = P/2 = 42/2 = 21 cm

Area of triangle A= sqrt(s(s - 18)(s - 10)(s - 14))= sqrt(21(21-18)(21-10)(21-14))= sqrt(21*3*11*7)= 21sqrt(11) cm^2
