Find the area of an isosceles triangle whose equal sides measure 5 cm each and heightcorresponding to the third side is 4 cm.

base of the triangle = 2*(√5²-4²) ...... using Pythagoras theorem

so, base = 2*(3) = 6cm

now area = 1/2*(h*b) = 1/2*(4)*(6) = 12cm²
