Let the radius of the circle is r. 

∴ circumference = 2\(\pi\)r and area = \(\pi\)\(r^{2}\) 

Ratio of circumference to the area of circle

 = \(\frac{circumference}{area}\) 

\(\frac{2\pi{r}}{\pi{r^2}}\) 

\(\frac{2}{r}\) 

= 2 : r

∴ The ratio of circumference of circle with radius r to its area is 2 : r.
