Find the period of a function f(t) = sin^2 t

Answer»

Solution :Given FUNCTION can be WRITTEN as `sin^2 t = sin^2 (t + pi)`
COMPARING the above equation with 5.1, gives the period as `pi`
Note that, after a time 2`pi` also the given function repeats itself. But the period is DEFINED as LEAST time taken to repeat the motion.
