Find the two parallel sides of a trapezium whose area is 1.6m, altitude is 10 dm and one ofthe parallel sides is longer than the other by 8 dm.

1/2 * (x+x+0.8) * h = area

1/2*(2x+0.8)*1 = 1.6

x + 0.4 = 1.6

x = 1.2 m

The parallel sides are 1.2 and 2 m
