Find the volume of sphere whose diameter is 14 cm. |
|
Answer» Let the radius of the sphere is r. Given that the diameter of the sphere is 14 cm. ∴ 2r = 14 cm. (∵ diameter is double of the radius) ⇒ r = \(\frac{14}{2}\) = 7 cm. Hence the radius of the sphere is 7 cm. We know the volume of the sphere whose radius is r is given by V = \(\frac{4}{3} \pi r^3\) Therefore the volume of given sphere is V = \(\frac{4}{3} \times \frac{22}{7} \times7^3\) (\(\because\)\(\pi\) = \(\frac{22}{7}\)) \(\frac{4}{3} \times \frac{22}{7} \times49\) = \(\frac{4312}{3}\) = \({1437.33} \,cm^3\). Hence, the volume of the sphere is 1437.33 cm3. |
