FIVE lines on telephone in Punjabi

                      (with English and Hindi translation)

(1)  

ਟੈਲੀਫੋਨ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ,  ਕੋਈ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ, ਕੋਈ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ.

(We did the telephone,  No message has arrived, no answer.)

(हमने टेलीफोन किया, पर कोई संदेश नही, कोई जवाब नही)

ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਟੈਲੀਫ਼ੋਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ

(She is very sad, her husband did not telephone to her)

(वह बहुत दुखी है, उसके पति ने उसे टेलीफोन नही किया)

ਟੈਲੀਫੋਨ ਘੰਟੀ ਦੇ ਰਿੰਗ., ਚੁੱਪ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀਂ ਕੌਣ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ?

(The telephone ringing. It's broken silence We ASKED who?)

(टेलीफोन की घंटी बज रही। टूट गया है मौन, हमने पूछा कौन?)

ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇਹਰਾਦੂਨ ਗਏ, ਉੱਥੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਟੈਲੀਫ਼ੋਨ ਕੀਤਾ

(My father went to Dehradun, from where he made a telephone call to US)

(मेरे पिता गये देहरादून, उन्होंने वहां से हमें किया है टेलीफोन)

ਟੈਲੀਫੋਨ 'ਤੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਸਮਾਂ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ.
