1.	Give a brief introduction about Chaudhary Charan Singh.
Answer» Chaudhary Charan Singh was a freedom fighter and supporter of rural and agricultural development. He left the Congress party and founded the Bharatiya Kranti Dal in 1967 and became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh twice. He was the Prime Minister of India between July1979 – January 1980. Subsequently, he was one of the founders of the Janata Party in 1977 and became Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister in 1977-79. He also founded the Lok Dal.
