Give detailed description of Parvatasan.

Parvatasana is in form of a mountain pose.

Procedure: 

  • Sit down on yoga mat in a cross legged position. 
  • Bring hands in front so that palms face towards the performer. 
  • Exhale and move hands over head keeping the fingers interlocked and hands stretched upwards. Pull torso in upward direction high as one can. 
  • Come down to the original position . Repeat the asana for 8-10 times.

 Benefits:

  • Improves health of internal organs.
  • Helps in losing body weight.

 Contraindications: 

  • Do not strain the nerves. 
  • Avoid hunching back during sitting position
