Answer» The process of glycolysis takes place m the cytoplasm of the cell. One molecule of glucose is gradually oxidized step by step forming two molecules of each pyruvic acid, ATP, NADH and water. Of these, pyruvate or pyruvic acid takes part in the further reactions.
