(i))  (b) Halogenation of alkyne or addtion of halogen in alkyne : On addition reaction of alkyne with bromine solution prepared in carbon TETRACHLORIDE `(C Cl_(4))` gives tetra bromo alkane, during this reaction bromine is utilized completely and hence, orange red colour of bromine is removed. This reaction is identification test for unsaturated hydrocarbon.
