1.

Give reason: A frying pan is made up of steel but its handle is made up of wood.

Answer»

A frying pan is made up of steel but its handle is made up of wood because metals are good conductors of heat, hence the portion of frying pan supposed to receive heat is made of steel. However, the handle which is supposed to be handled by humans are not supposed to carry heat, hence it is made up with bad conductor of heat, i.e, plastics, Bakelite, wood, etc.
