Give reason :a gas exerts pressure on the wall of the containing vessel |
|
Answer» Pressure of a gas is because of the hits which their particle record on the wall of the container. since particle in a gas have kinetic energy ,strike the wall of the container with force as a result their exert pressure. Please note that greater the number of hits recorded per unit area of the walls of the container more will be the pressure of the gas. A gas exerts pressure on the inner wall of the vessel because the particles are very far away from one another due to very less force of attraction between them so they move very rapidly and hit the inner wall of the vessel , and so they exerts pressure. Because in gases the intermolucar space is more or freely so in gases they exert pressure on the of container |
