1.

Give reason salinity and temperature of water are factors causing ocean currents

Answer»

inity and temperature of water causes OCEAN currentsExplanation:The heating causes expansion in water molecules of the ocean. The PLACE created by this expansion is generally occupied by  salt and other molecules like CALCIUM. The solubility of salt increases in warm water. So,the warmer water the more salt and other molecules the ocean water can hold as compared to that of cold water. Due  to he increased salinity , the water will start to  sink. This will  start a CONVECTION current. It means the cold water can overlane  warm water , if the salinity of warm water is high enough. The natural flow of a current  can be reversed based on DENSITY, salinity and temperature of the ocean water.
