But, the north Atlantic sea current takes easternly direction under the impact of western winds. This warm current reaches Norway and Sweden cold countries through the north-west of Britain. Because of the impact of warm currents the western ports of Britain remain open. But, in the absence of such a climate the eastern ports of North America remain frozen and closed.
