Answer» A Guttation usually occurs whne conditons favour more water absorption and less transpiration the humid periods at night or early in the morning inhibit transpiration and promot water absorption B Animlas cells do not possess cellulose cell wall when placed in distilled water they absorb water due to endosmosis and swell excessive endosmosis results in the increase of turgor pressure whihc ruptures the animlas cells C Plant cells have rigid cellulose cell wall when placed in hypertonic solution they lose water due to exos osis resulting the shringking of their protoplast ultimately the protoplasm separates from the cell wasll and assumes speherical shape this condition is called plasmolysis |
