Answer» (i) Setae help in locomotion . (ii) They aid earthworm in climbing out of the burrow . (iii) When pulled by an enemy from the burrow, these are extended by the animal into the walls of the burrow for firm attachment. (iv) They keep the two copulating worms together during reproduction.
