Give two reasons as to why the division of labour is an advantage to the producer? |

Answer» Advantages of division of labour to producer : (i) Reduction in cost of production: The cost per unit tends to fall down when commodity is produced on a large scale which ensures the production of cheaper goods due to the division of labour. (ii) Large scale production: The greatest advantage of division of labour is that it increases immensely the productivity per worker. (iii) Efficiency of labour improves: Division of labour helps to increase the efficiency of workers due to two reasons i.e., every worker is assigned a job that suits his skills, experience and aptitude and another one is they become expert in performing the job due to repetition of the same work. (iv) Better quality of work: Division of labour not only increases the quality of production but also improves quality of work. Better and modern machines and equipment increase quality of work hence, it helps to increase the goodwill and profits. |
