1.

Give your own examples that illustrate how metal is lustrous, ductile, malleable, conductive, and can be mixed with other materials to make an alloy.

Answer»

Answer:

Lustrous => It is the PROPERTY of many metals (exception, Diamond, a non metal) which MAKES them shine by reflecting the light falling on their surface, when it is polished, e.g., iron rods, gold, silver.

Malleability => It is the property of any SOLID and hard metal (and/or non metal) which makes them DEFORMED under pressure. It helps to make thin sheets of metals, e.g., tin cans, foils, etc.

The materials are called “malleable materials”.

Ductility => It is the ability of solid and hard metals (and/or non metals) which can be stretched under tensile strength, e.g., thin wires, etc.
