Answer» Nissim Ezekiel (1924-2004) is a well known Indo-Anglican poet. He has a number of poems to his credit. He lived in Mumbai for a long time and joined the prestigious ‘Illustrated Weekly of India’ in 1953. He worked there for two years. Later he produced several volumes of verse and plays. He was also an art critic. The present poem is taken from his ‘Collected Poems’. |
