Answer» Answer: The greased Cartridge acted as a spark in the revolt of 1857 because ,most of the SEPOYS in BRITISH army were Indians . Inorder to load the rifle , they had to BITE the greased paper. A rumour made the revolt more severe. The rumour was that the greased paper in the RIFLES consisted of fat of cows and pigs.The RELIGIOUS concequences of Hindus and Muslims , made them react severely which made the revolt more severe. hope it helps... |
