Answer» Oxidation and reduction process occurs simultaneously this can be proved by the FOLLOWING EXAMPLE :- as you know that oxidation is the process in which gaining of oxygen takes place and reduction is the process of reducing oxygen from it. now, for EG. magnesium oxide + HYDROGEN --gives -- magnesium + water in this reaction magnesium oxide is reduced to magnesium and hydrogen has been oxidzised to water HOPE it may help you :-)
