Collier, Hoeffler and Rohner define civil war as a large scale

organized violence on the part of a rebel army. Moreover, civil

wars are different from place to place and do not usually have

the same duration. However, most rebel organizations that

engage government FORCES either have political or religious

the outbreak of civil war in one country directly exports refugees

to neighboring countries who have no choice but to ACCEPT them

Refugee Conventions. More so, it’s an act of solidarity to a

neighbour in distress because the next day might by yours.

However, accepting refugees from civil war stricken countries

comes with serious security challenges and threats to the

domestic politics and stability of the hosting country as the

refugees might turn out to be a serious security threat themselves

either through organized crime, or the spread of diseases. Civil

wars are far more COMMON than international conflicts which
