The preamble to the CONSTITUTION of India is a brief introductory statement that sets out guidelines to guide people and to present the principles of the document, and to indicate the source from which the ordinary document derives its authority, meaning, and the people. We the people of United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, PROVIDE for the common defence, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessing of LIBERTY to ourselves, and our posterity, do ORDAIN and establish this constitution for United States of America” The fundamentals of the Indian Constitution are contained in the Preamble which secures its citizens, Justice, social, economic and political, Liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and WORSHIP, Equality of status and opportunity, and to promote among them all Fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual.
