bears testimony to the fact that man does not LEARN from his experience. The rise and fall of civilizations, futility of war, devastation of man by man and the pollution of the environment have not taught him anything. He continues to commit the same follies, mistakes and crimes. His experience has not made him any wiser. It is difficult to change this essential trait of man. In day to day life, we WITNESS that the young are never prepared to heed the advice of their elders. They resent the well meaning advice and consider it an intrusion in their privacy. They succumb to temptation, irrespective of the warnings. They do not learn from their PAST mistakes. They fail to see REASON and remain impulsive and gullible in spite of the stark REALITIES of life. Therefore, experiences never become their guide, teacher and adviser. It does not make them self-disciplined, cautious and far-sighted. They remain impulsive, rash and indisciplined despite having seen several summers of their lives.
