If they don't work properly then people can overthrow them.●Whenever possible and necessary, CITIZENS should be able to participate in decision making, that affects them all . Thus democracy produces an accountable government. ●Democracy is a government that is attentive to the needs and demands of the people and is largely free of corruption.●Democracy should not frustrate the needs of the people and ignore the demands of the majority of the population. Thus it is responsive. ●Democratic government is a legitimate government . It is people's own government .People elect the rulers . The party that gets majority seat in the LEGISLATURE forms the government. If they lose the majority , they have to resign |
