It is an open-source message broker platform with a reasonable number of features. It supports the AMQP messaging protocol with the routing feature. Kafka was written in Scala and first introduced in LinkedIn to facilitate intrasystem communication. Now Kafka is being developed under the umbrella of Apache software and more suitable in an event-driven ecosystem. Now LET's compare both the platform. Kafka is a distributed, scalable and high throughput system as compared to rabbitMQ. In terms of performance as well as Kafka scores much better.
