How Are The State Parks And Recreation Commission And Legislature Involved In The Concessions Program? |

Answer» RFPs for CONCESSIONS with anticipated gross receipts and/or capital improvements exceeding $1,000,000 must be presented to the State Park and Recreation COMMISSION for them to determine WHETHER the concession is compatible with the park unit classification and general plan. In addition, the LEGISLATURE must be provided with 30-days advance notice of the DEPARTMENT’s intent to advertise the RFP. RFPs for concessions with anticipated gross receipts and/or capital improvements exceeding $1,000,000 must be presented to the State Park and Recreation Commission for them to determine whether the concession is compatible with the park unit classification and general plan. In addition, the Legislature must be provided with 30-days advance notice of the Department’s intent to advertise the RFP. |
