How can you differentiatezn (NO3)2 & zn cl2 |
|
Answer» Answer: Since you ALREADY KNOW that one Zinc nitrate and the other Zinc carbonate, do the simple carbonate TEST: Add dilute HC to both salts. Zn nitrate will not effervesce (release of gas bubbles); the zinc carbonate will release gas (CO2). Zn(NO3)2 + HCL => Zn++ NO3 = H+ Cl-(Ions in solutions) ZnCO3 + 2HCL => ZnNO3 +H2O + CO2 P.S. Don’t WORRY about getting Hydrochloric if you are not in a lab, a little lemon juice or vinegar will do the trick. MARK ME AS BRAINLIST PLEASE |
