Bhabha Sa uneasily tossed her head from side to side. From time to time she opened her eye-lids and gazed around her. She recognized her family. Her eyes showed contentment. There was peace on her face as if she had done her worldly duties to her entire satisfaction. Her lips muttered Ram Ram. There was no panic at the arrival of death. She was aware of feminine etiquette to the last. She insisted the maids to cover her face before the doctor. People came and went but the close relatives stayed on. On the second day of the heart attack, her end came early in the morning.

भाभा सा कष्ट पाकर एक करवट से दूसरी करवट अपना सिर उछाल रही थीं। समय-समय पर वह अपनी आँखों की पुतलियों को खोलती थीं और चारों ओर देखती र्थी। वह अपने परिवार को पहचानती थीं। उनकी आँखों में सन्तोष दीखता था। उनके चेहरे पर शांति थी मानो उन्होंने अपने सांसारिक कर्तव्यों को पूर्ण सन्तुष्टि से किया है। उनके होठों से राम राम निकल रहा था। मृत्यु का कोई भय नहीं था। अन्तिम सांस तक उन्हें स्त्री शिष्टाचार को ज्ञान रहा। उन्होंने नौकरानियों पर इसी बात पर जोर दिया कि डॉक्टर के सामने उनका सिर ढककर रखे। लोग आते रहे जाते रहे परन्तु निकट सम्बन्धी वहीं रुके रहे। हृदय घात के दूसरे दिन ही प्रातः काल उनका देहान्त हो गया।
