How did Newton’s work promote secularism during the Scientific Revolution? |
|
Answer» Isaac Newton was the one who made Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy and explained his findings regarding gravity. He discovered gravity by watching an apple fall from the tree. Newton’s work promotes secularism during the Scientific Revolution because. He used his own mathematical reasoning rather than the Church‘s teachings. He established the three laws of motion. The most used law is the second law of motion. It states that a body at rest remains at rest unless a force is acted upon it. When you move an object, you are exerting a force onto it. By exerting a force on the object, you are actually displacing it from its initial position. You cannot apply force to the object without altering its position. Newton, through his laws of gravity, shows that everythings in universe have same rule either a richer or poor, big or small. His theory says that when two body is released from same hight both will strike on ground at same instant of time irrespective of the masses of the body. That's what i think Newton promote secularism through his work. |
