Answer» Fungi: They form thick-walled spores which help them survive in unfavourable conditions. On availability of suitable environment, these germinate. Zooplankton: Under unfavourable conditions, these species in lakes and ponds enter diapause, a stage of suspended development. Bears: In extreme low temperatures, they escape winter time, i.e., they hibernate.
