Answer» When we take the oxygen by reducing the pressure of inside of our body than atmospheric pressure by contraction of external intercostal muscle and diaphragm..that\'s mechanism comes under inhalation which is an active process ..When we Remove the co2 by increasing the pressure of inside of our body than atmospheric pressure by relaxation of intercostal muscle and diaphragm..so that\'s mechanism comes under exhalation which is a passive process....
