How do you see yourself contributing to make India a better place |
Answer»

espect to each other as individuals, respect to the system and respect to specific guidelines. Best example I can give to make this point is the way we drive. Lanes, Indicators, SPEED limits like that are all put in place for a certain reason. If all of us can follow it, the life we spend on the roads will improve considerably. Yes, I agree there will be times when we have to raise our VOICE But is that doing enough? The people in both instances you have mentioned would have GONE on with their lives, probably going into a ladies compartment in the next train or finding a seat somewhere else. Don't get me wrong. I do the same too sometimes. So I am not condemning you in any way. But is that enough? When I say respect, I mean a situation where everyone respects everyone. Like those two guys respect the system enough to buy a ticket. Or that family respects the rules enough to not get into a ladies coach. Or the idiots swaying around from the left to the right of the road just so they can get a couple of seconds of head start. Or those i who are driving on the fastest LANE at 20 kilometer per hour because they are busy talking on their phone. Start looking at the bigger picture than being so lost in our own lives. How we take advantage of the pseudo society we live in. How many of us talking against bribes can say we haven't bribed at all ever to make things a little bit easier for us? If something as amazing as a ‘ Clean Bharat’ initiative starts, STOP littering everywhere. Most places abroad, people have little dust bins in their cars. Just so they don't have to litter on the road and empty it once a day once they get home. How many times did we see that happen in India? Understand how the world operates. A lot of people blame the huge population for lack of progress. My question to everyone is, How did China manage to do it then? They have more people than us. All of us in some way have to start contributing to the overall improvement of the country. How is population to blame if you don't stop at a red light? I have had so many instances where taxi drivers wait patiently at red lights at 3 AM! Even when there’s no traffic around Stop making an issue on social media about every minor minuscule thing about what an actor said or what a politician did. The backlash is healthy to keep things in check but to what extent? Is it not better for us to focus on more important events about improvement than a post mortem or a huge debate about why one person said one bad thing?

| |
