How does respiration take place in cockroaches ? Explain. |
|
Answer» In cockroaches and other insects, there is small opening on the sides of their body. These openings are called spiracles. Insects have a network of air tubes called tracheal tubes for gas exchange. Oxygen rich air rushes through spiracles into the tracheal tube, finally reaches to cells. Similarly, carbon dioxide from the cells goes into the tracheal tubes and from there moves out through spiracles. |
