How does the accelerator increase the speed of a car? |
| Answer» Solution :The acceleration on being PRESSED increases the angular velocity of the wheel and thereby the rolling friction increases. At the point of contact with the ground the wheel ROTATES backwards so the rolling friction ACTS in the forward direction. The car accelerates DUE to the increase of this rolling friction. | |
