How doesthe change of acceleration due to gravity affect the path of a projectile ?

Answer»

Solution :The locus of a PROJECTILE is denoted by
`y=xtan alpha-(G)/(2u^2 cos^2alpha)x^2` ….(1)
Let U and `alpha` be constants.

Now from equation (1) we can say that both the maximum height and the HORIZONTAL range of a projectile decrease with increasing g. In this case, the locus of the projectile is shown by line a [Fig.2.76]
On the other hand , both the quantities INCREASE with decreasingg. In this case, the locus of the projectile is shown by line b [Fig.2.76].
