How is a leap year calculated |
|
Answer» We use the following formula to calculate a leap year. A year is a leap year if meet the following requirements: • The year can be evenly divided by 4. • It’s not a leap year if can beevenly divided by 100 unless the year can be exactly divided by 400. The second rule means that years 1200, 1600, 2000, 2400 and 2800 are leap years, while 1700, 1800, 1900, 2100, 2200, 2300, 2500, 2600 and 2700 not leap years (in spite of each can be divided by 4). |
