Answer» lescent population (1/5th of the population, people from 10-19 years of AGE) of our country is given SPECIAL IMPORTANCE as they are the future citizens of our nation. They will be the ONES to contribute to the ECONOMY of our country. Adolescents need more nutrients than most other people because they are in a growing stage. They also enter the workforce and are the most biologically reproductive at this age.
