Answer» The poet saw a young girl reaping harvest in a field from a distance at highlands in Scotland. The girl was singing a provincial song in local language. The song was full of melancholy but it was sweet in listening. The entire valley was also filled with its music. It made the poet very happy and it became the source of inspiration of its composition. कवि ने एक युवा लड़की को स्कॉटलैण्ड में उच्च भूमि पर दूर से खेत में फसल काटते हुए देखा। लड़की स्थानीय भाषा में एक क्षेत्रीय गीत गा रही थी। गीत दु:खी भावों से भरा हुआ था लेकिन सुनने में मधुर लग रहा था। सम्पूर्ण घाटी भी संगीतमय हो गई थी। इसने कवि को बहुत खुश कर दिया और यह इस कविता की रचना की प्रेरणा बना। |
