How is work done equal to Heat energy?

Answer»

Work is a method of transferring energy and heat is a form at energy. Molecular work is the orderly transfer of energy in one direction while heat is the random molecular vibration work is accounted far in terms of change in the macroscopic physical variable of the system. Heat is vibrational molecules at microscopic thermal particles level.

It was Joule who first discovered that work and heat are mutually convertible and gave an equation. where Q is heat raised of the system, W is work done on the system and j is a proportionality constant. Work is totally convertible into equal amount heat but total heat cannot be converted into an equal amount of work.
