How To Load The Last Known Good Configuration? |

Answer» The "Last Known Good Configuration" option was first introduced in Microsoft WINDOWS 2000 and is available in all LATER versions of Windows including Windows XP. This feature enables the user to LOAD the last stable version of Microsoft Windows. This is a great step to TRY when trying to fix issues with Windows; especially those that occur upon startup. To load the last known good configuration in Windows 2000 or XP, reboot the computer and upon startup, repeatedly press the F8 Key. This action should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" as shown below. Use your arrow KEYS to move to "Last Known Good Configuration" and press your Enter key.
