Answer» Solution :i. In the elemental analysis, if the total percentage COMPOSITION is less than 100, then the remaining percentage reveals the presence of oxygen . ii. If the organic compounds contains following functional GROUPS like- OH, -CHO, -COOH etc, SHOWS the presence of oxygen. iii. On heating, if the organic compounds produce water vapour and `CO_(2)` , this also shows the presence of oxygen.
